Role
An interior design project for the Harmonic Innovation Hub “Pitagora” in Tiriolo, the first private innovation hub in Calabria, developed by Entopan and Harmonic Innovation Group. After the architectural renovation by Massimo Roj (Progetto CMR), our team took over the interiors, under the art direction of Emilio Leo, owner of the historic Lanificio Leo, together with architects Antonio Lento, Generoso Arpaia and Pietro Gigliotti. My work focused on the interior design, the development of bespoke elements, and the user experience and wayfinding of the hub.

Design Vision
Behind the coloured façade sits a former Telecom building, now more than 20,000 m² of workspaces, labs, an academy and co-living. The question for the interiors was how to make a place for technology feel human, local and lived-in, rather than another anonymous tech campus.
The answer came from Entopan’s idea of Harmonic Innovation, which rests on three dimensions that feed each other: Spirit (the vision), Thought (the structure) and Action (the impact). We used these three as a spatial guide. There are spaces to imagine, spaces to focus and spaces to make, connected by open, shared areas where startups, researchers and companies meet by chance. Bespoke furniture and objects, designed specifically for the hub, give each area its own identity. The wayfinding system turns moving through the building into part of the experience, so people don’t just find their way, they understand where they are and what happens there. The result is innovation that grows from its territory, not in spite of it.

The hub is the first node of the Harmonic Innovation Ecosystem, designed to host startups, research centres and over a thousand innovators, and to connect Southern Italy with the global innovation network.
The project has been covered by The Plan, StartupItalia, Il Quotidiano del Sud and Matrix4Design.
